ECTARC continuously tenders for funding to deliver training programs for various groups within the community.  It is strongly recommended that you add this page to your favourite websites list and view on a regular basis, as this page is constantly being updated with new programs. Certificate 3 Guarantee Program - QUEENSLAND

CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care


Ideal for
  • casual educators
  • full-time/part-time educators
  • relief educators
  • educators who are not eligible to undertake a traineeship
  • Family Day Care providers
  • Outside School Hours Care educators

Funded by the Queensland Government




COURSE INFORMATION

The Certificate 3 Guarantee Program is a self-paced program undertaken via flexible delivery and includes a combination of phone support, free on-line webinars, self-paced learning materials, practical training and RPL. Participants must have access to a computer and the internet. ECTARC provides all other necessary resources free of charge.

There are two components to the qualification:

  • On-the-job training – 120 hours practical learning in the workplace to gain skills and knowledge
  • Off-the-job training – Formal training and assessment by ECTARC

Duration of the program will vary according to electives chosen and individual student skills, knowledge and experience. The program takes approximately 1 to 2 years to complete - the more study you do the quicker the course can be completed.

All students will have 14 days access to the ECTARC Training Portal after their course completion date to download content and any completed assessments for future reference. To download completed assessments, go to the relevant unit and click on the ASSIGNMENTS link to view your assessment tasks. Click on the assessment task you wish to copy and then right click on your mouse and choose the PRINT function. Change the destination from your printer to the PDF setting and click SAVE. If you have any questions regarding the saving of your online content, please call 02 4223 1111.

Ideal for
  • casual educators
  • full-time/part-time educators
  • relief educators
  • educators who are not eligible to undertake an apprenticeship
  • Family Day Care providers
  • Outside School Hours Care educators
  • an educator who wishes to upgrade their qualification
  • someone who wants to commence a career in the early childhood sector.

Fee-free training for Year 12 graduates - QUEENSLAND

CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care


To be eligible to access fee-free training, you must:

  • have completed Year 12 in Queensland and hold a Senior Statement issued by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority or equivalent certification 
  • enrol and start a traineeship, apprenticeship or training with an approved training provider in a high priority qualification by the end of the calendar year following completion of Year 12
  • permanently reside in Queensland.
